View of Toledo - View of Toledo (sometimes called "Toledo in a Storm") is the only surviving landscape painting by El Greco. Along with Vincent van Gogh's The Starry Night and some landscapes by Joseph Turner, it is among the most famous depictions of the sky in all art, and features sharp color contrast between the sky and the hills below.
Irises (painting) - Irises is a painting by the Dutch artist Vincent van Gogh, one of the first he did while he was at the asylum at Saint Paul-de-Mausole in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, France in the last year before his death in 1890. The painting was probably influenced by Japanese woodblock prints, like many of his works.
